NSS at ISMU Dhanbad carried out a Campus Cleaning Programme on saturday, the 4th of april,2009 to create awareness about the need for cleanliness and the advantages of staying in a clean environment.

Under the effective coordination of the coordinator Dr. Vikas Mahto, NSS volunteers in groups of 5 collected about 10 kgs of plastic, cans, disposable cups and other materials from around the campus premises.

It was a massive cleaning programme with over 300 NSS volunteers taking part in it. It started at 9 am in the morning and by afternoon, the awareness programme was declared successful.
